Our aim was to bring back the features of this Cotswold stone building

Desperate to let the village have a say in what we were doing we kept an open door policy for anyone that wanted to see the progress and enlisted only local trades people that had a vested interest in the finished product. The results are evident and we made a lot of great friends in the process.

Callum David of Cotswold Lime Works painstakingly removed the black paint from the original stone and repointed all the walls using traditional lime mortar. The final result was breathtaking and created a brighter and more vibrant space for everyone to enjoy.

Doug Foster and Adie Fletcher provided us with excellent carpentry work for our interior space including our bar and the beautiful curved wall in our Wine Cellar. This added a classic finish to the building and brought the interior space back to life.

Sue Trafford- interior decor, advising us through the initial process.

Scott Bottrill- Cotswold Electric installations ltd was on hand to work on all internal lighting.

Triana de Lamo Terry is a talented artist and actress and a long term friend of Simon our owner. Having been commissioned to paint the likes of Steven Fry, Anna Friel, and David Thewlis to name but a few, Triana was the obvious choice to create a modern sign for the newly renovated pub and to create 'beyond the willow', a painting to adorn the backs of our menu. Triana's pieces will slowly be added to our art collection which brings a unique modern twist whilst remaining homely. Triana has exhibited at The Saatchi Gallery, Cork street and has pictures permanently on display in the Soho House group.
